Battalion Commander 2
When you have a whole squad of soldiers under your command, they'll be looking to you for guidance which is what's happening in Battalion Commander 2. You are a commander fighting a battle in a very cold place hence all of the snow everywhere. You don't have the full backup of your base and many of your troops have been captured. You're a capable soldier so you decide to head into enemy territory to rescue as many of your trapped units as you can. The more you push, the more you'll need to be prepared to fight the enemy.
About Battalion Commander 2
The bullet hell first came to be in the early arcade days when one of its main purposes was to take as many coins from you as possible. This game may throw the same tactics at you but will be far more affordable. You're just one soldier so already you're at a disadvantage being behind enemy lines. They're going to underestimate you at first but then will have no problem throwing everything they can at you. This is where you'll need to use your mobility as a single or small unit so that you can avoid getting shot while you constantly look to fire back.
How to Play
Battalion Commander 2 is a 2D top-down arcade shooter about a commander shooting through enemy lines using the mouse. To interact with the UI, move the cursor over to it and click the Left Mouse Button. The commander will follow the cursor as it moves and will automatically fire his weapon periodically. The goal is to complete the mission by pushing through enemy lines with the meter on the right showing your progress. If you lose all your health shown on the left side, you'll need to start over from the base.
The main outlines missions that you can complete for extra coins and gives you the option to equip perks and buy upgrades for the commander and his soldiers. After you're all set, you can start the battle. The commander will move forward and fire on his own as enemies appear from the top of the screen. Direct shots at enemies, objects, and installations will do damage until they're destroyed. Cages will hold soldiers that can be freed to join your squad and will use whatever weapon they have equipped to attack. Defeated enemies and destroyed objects will yield stars and coins that can be used to improve your commander and squad so that you can advance further.
There are also power-ups which will be indicated by icons on the screen. Clicking on them will cause their effects to take hold for a limited amount of time.
Tips and Tricks
The goal is to keep moving and focus on the elements that will yield the most rewards based on your current setup. Focus on individual enemy soldiers first, then move on to bigger things for greater rewards. Remember that you can always move past enemies, but keep in mind that they'll still aim and fire at you until they're off-screen.
