Gulper.io
If you ever owned a cellphone that was strong enough to withstand being dropped from a cliffside, you may have played a monochrome pixel game called Snake. Well, Gulper is definitely part of that game's evolution. It's a 2D competitive game taking all of those base mechanics and bringing in a multiplayer aspect. The goal is to grow as large as you can while avoiding the other Gulper snakes in the area. You can be peaceful or aggressive as you try to eat all the pellets and get to the top of the rankings. It's simple while still being fast and intense.
About Gulper
In terms of competitive games to jump into, Gulper has a pretty excellent pool. The graphics and animations are vibrant and smooth enough to draw you in while the controls are enough to keep you around. Despite the limited inputs, you can find yourself getting sucked into the arena-like environment. On top of that, you're guaranteed to run into players no matter what time of day you're playing. While it's perfectly fine to live and let live, it's also quite satisfying to race alongside other players or challenge another to a game of chicken to see who blinks first.
How to Play
Gulper has brought a competitive edge to the traditional mechanics while changing some things to make it a bit less restrictive. Your aim is to grow bigger and longer by eating the numerous colored pellets littering the area. The bigger you get and the longer you survive, the better your ranking.

Your main obstacles are walls and other players. The whole play area takes place in a large circular arena surrounded by a barrier on all sides. Unlike in some versions, hitting these walls don't loop around to the opposite side, they will destroy your Gulper. Other player Gulpers act as walls too since running into them with any part of your head will also end your run. You'll take no damage from other players running into your body nor from running into your own body, another deviation from classic Snake rules. When a player's Gulper is destroyed, they become edible particles which will help your Gulper snake grow in overall size so that you become even more of a threat.
Tips and Tricks
In the early game, your best bet is to keep your distance and focus on growth. Staying near the edges will work for a time, but you run the risk of getting trapped between the wall and another player. If a player does pull up alongside you, pull toward the center while trying to avoid getting surrounded.

FAQs
How do I make a private match?
To make room for you and select players to play privately, you can do this while entering your Nickname. Use the format player-name+@+room-name (eg. Jeffy@Partytime) to create the match and then instruct other players to enter the same room name to join it.
Am I playing with people or bots?
With the way that IO games are designed, it's difficult to determine which players are human and which are bots. To make sure you're playing with people, you can always share the details of your private match.
